NORDIC OIL AND GAS LICENSES WELL AT PREECEVILLE

WINNIPEG, MB. (October 6, 2005) - Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd., today announced that the Company's 14-14-39-5 W2 well in Preeceville, Saskatchewan has been licensed and that drilling will commence as soon as the Company can arrange to have a rig deployed to the region.

"We are obviously pleased to now be able to move forward with the drilling of this well as soon as a rig becomes available," Mr. Benson stated. "The well will be drilled down to the basement to a depth of approximately 1,200 metres and we will be testing multiple zones, possibly up to 10 hydrocarbon bearing formations."

In addition, Mr. Benson noted that the Company is currently in discussion with other parties regarding potential farm-out opportunities on its Preeceville lands. "While we will look seriously at our options in this regard, these discussions will not impede our plans to quickly move forward with the drilling of the14-14-39-5 W2 well," he stated.

Nordic Oil and Gas has an 80% interest in 137,780 gross acres covering six townships in the Preeceville area. Earlier this year, the Company completed 27 kilometres of 2-D seismic data in the region and analysis has confirmed that structural trends and stratigraphic features can be seen in all six townships. In addition, over 75 exploration and development drillable locations have also been identified ­ many of them deep exploratory gas and oil targets.

"We are very excited about the prospects in the Preeceville area," added Mr. Benson. "We believe there are large quantities of oil and natural gas trapped along a geological trend called the Prairie evaporate salt collapse edge."
